Understand roles and permissions
Use the permission matrix to understand organization roles and league-scoped access.
Understand roles and permissions
Open Roles & Permissions to view the organization’s permission matrix. Roles grant access within the selected organization. League-scoped roles can be restricted to particular leagues through Organization Members.
Read the matrix
Each row is a permission and each column is a role. Allowed indicates access; a dash indicates that the role does not have that permission.
The roles shown are Owner, Admin, Assignor, Finance Manager, League Manager, League Host, Game Requester, Official, and Viewer.
Choose a role for the work
- Owner has organization profile and billing permissions.
- Owner and Admin can manage members, invitations, roles, and settings.
- Owner, Admin, Assignor, and League Manager can create or edit games and assign officials. League scope still applies where relevant.
- Owner, Admin, and Finance Manager can process payments and generate payment reports.
- Official has the official-facing schedule, availability, and payment workflows.
Consult the complete matrix for check-in, assignment-acceptance overrides, no-shows, communication, reports, and other permissions.
Change membership access
Use Organization Members → Edit to review a member’s role and league access. Check both the role and league scope when a user cannot see or manage the expected games.
Managing account details, deleting accounts, and resetting another user’s password require RefAssign platform administrator access. Organization roles do not grant those platform-wide capabilities.
