How to Create a Game in RefAssign

Creating a game in RefAssign only takes a few steps. Use this guide when adding a single game to your organization.

1. Open the Games Page

1. Sign in to RefAssign.
2. Select the appropriate organization if you have access to more than one.
3. Open the Games page from the main navigation.

2. Add a New Game

Click Create Game or Add Game.

A form will open where you can enter the details for the game.

3. Enter the Game Details

Complete the required information for the game.

Typical game information includes:

• Date — The date the game will be played.
• Start Time — The scheduled start time.
• Location / Arena — The rink or facility where the game will take place.
• League — The league the game belongs to.
• Age Group — The applicable age group, division, or level.
• Home Team — The home team.
• Away Team — The visiting team.
• Game Number — Enter the league or organization game number if one is available.

Depending on your organization's configuration, additional fields may be available.

4. Configure Officiating Positions

Select the officiating positions required for the game.

For example:

• 1 Official System
• 2 Official System
• 3 Official System

The positions available will depend on how your organization has configured its officiating systems.

Make sure the correct number and type of positions are selected before creating the game.

5. Review the Game

Before saving, confirm that:

• The date and start time are correct.
• The correct arena has been selected.
• The home and away teams are correct.
• The correct league and level are selected.
• All required officiating positions are included.

6. Create the Game

Click Create Game or Save.

The game will now appear in RefAssign and can be used for officiating assignments.
